Team Leader – Supported Accommodation

Pathway Homes is looking for an experienced, confident and driven Team Leader to join our growing Supported Accommodation service supporting young people and young adults aged 16–24.
This is a genuine leadership role for somebody who wants responsibility, autonomy and the opportunity to progress within Associated Wellbeing.
Supported Accommodation is fast-paced. Our young people may be navigating housing, benefits, education, employment, health, relationships, safeguarding and preparation for adulthood – often several of these at once.
We need somebody who can lead, prioritise, use their initiative and make things happen.
The role
Working directly alongside the Registered Service Manager, you will:
- Provide day-to-day leadership and support to staff.
- Complete supervisions, reflective practice and support staff development.
- Support rotas, planning and shared management on-call.
- Review risk assessments, support plans and safeguarding concerns.
- Support referrals, assessments, matching and transitions.
- Support pathway planning and preparation for adulthood.
- Complete audits and quality-assurance activity.
- Support HR processes, policies, procedures and regulatory compliance.
- Liaise with Social Workers, Personal Advisers, housing, education, health, police and other professionals.
- Support young people with housing, property finding, Universal Credit, PIP, Housing Benefit, education, employment and move-on planning.
- Provide direct support to young people where required.
- Take ownership of actions and see them through to completion.
The role also includes oversight of property compliance and accommodation standards, including health and safety, fire safety, property checks, maintenance actions and ensuring our homes remain safe, suitable and well maintained.
What we're looking for
Essential:
- Minimum one year's leadership or supervisory experience in a relevant setting.
- A relevant Level 3 or Level 4 qualification or equivalent – for example Health & Social Care, Youth Work, Housing, Children and Young People's Services, Community Support or Leadership & Management.
- Experience supporting young people, young adults or vulnerable people.
- Knowledge of Supported Accommodation and its regulatory framework.
- Strong safeguarding and risk-management knowledge.
- Ability to work proactively and confidently without needing to be micromanaged.
- Good professional recording and IT skills, including experience using electronic care, support or hostel management systems.
- Full UK driving licence and ability to travel between services.
- Flexibility to undertake sleep-ins and participate in shared on-call.
We'd particularly like to hear from you if...
You have experience in Supported Accommodation, leaving care, pathway planning, housing, benefits, youth services, youth justice, education, SEND, mental health, safeguarding or preparation for adulthood.
Experience in HR, staff supervision, quality assurance, audits, policies and procedures, regulators, property compliance or health and safety would also be particularly valuable.
