Parkside
Ages 11-17 yrs
Why do we need Parkside?
In today's complex world, the link between mental health and the legal system poses unique challenges, especially for children who find themselves in need of specialised care and support. Our new Ofsted residential children’s home, Parkside, is specialised in supporting children involved in the youth justice service or at high risk of exploitation. Parkside, is dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment tailored specifically to the unique needs of young boys and girls aged 11-17 years who have encountered legal issues in the youth justice system. This can be current involvement, past involvement or where a child is highly vulnerable to becoming involved due to their behaviour or circumstances if early help and intervention is not provided.
With a multidisciplinary team of experts, amazing facilities, and a compassionate approach to treatment, we at Associated Wellbeing are committed to guiding the children on a path towards recovery, rehabilitation, and ultimately, reintegration into society to help them make a great start to their adulthood.
Our Vision
“At Parkside we believe that every child who walks through our door can achieve great outcomes, realise their true potential, and live a prosocial life when they receive the right support and opportunities from the right people at the right time.

We’re strongly committed to providing a nurturing, and supportive environment within our home so that each child can grow, flourish, and feel safe. Coupled with the memories we hope to create the life skills we’ll teach and the specialist therapeutic interventions we offer, we believe there are no limits to what our children can be or do.

We cannot go back and change the beginning that some of our children have had, but we are confident that with solid foundations in place, we can give every child the best possible chance to create a future they deserve and can be proud of.”

Bus Service
The nearest bus stop is situated on Lyndhurst Road which is approximately a two-minute walk away from the home. Buses from here travel to Burnley town centre, Blackburn, Accrington, and other small local towns, this expands the opportunities our children have to access amenities, educational provisions and to travel independently.
Train station
There are two train stations close by to our home, Burnley Manchester Road station which is 0.86 miles away and Burnley Central station which is 1.19 miles away. Trains from these two stations travel to numerous locations across the northwest.
Burnley
Burnley has a bunch of things children can do. You can unwind and relax at their beautiful parks and creative spaces. You can educate yourself by visiting their museums and theatres. You can even have fun playing laser quest or going for a jump at the trampoline park. There's something here for all children.
